Our Community Council plays a key role in community life. We have co-ordinated community support during COVID; successfully lobbied Scottish Borders Council in relation to road safety and maintenance; and most recently secured a £60k upgrade for Gavinton Play Park.
We wish to form a new Community Council and therefore encourage anyone living in our area, whose names appear on the current Electoral Register for Gavinton, Fogo and Polwarth Community Council (GFPCC), to apply.
Applicants don’t require any experience, just be a minimum of 16 years old and willing to get involved. You can find out more about the Community Council here and if you would like to discuss anything just email chair@gavinton.net.
